It's pretty lame. They changed all the stuff since Disney is a "family broadcasting company". Feh. It's because Disney has a partnership with Viz Media.

Cartoon Network is a "family Broadcasting Channel" too you know. And they really did not change much. Outside a removal of blood it's pretty much the same as it always was. And it's not like Disney is preventing Viz from releasing the show uncut, they ARE NOT.

Really stop acting like this is a 4kids level hack job or worse. Man Naruto fans don't know what it's like to have a true hack job.

I don't really even care what the hell they do with the show anymore. I wasn't even that big a fan to begin. I said what I thought. I think it's lame now compared to what it could be.

it still has the same TV rating, so if it stayed on Cartoon Network it would have had similar, if not the same, edits. by that logic the TV dub was ALWAYS lame and thus nothing has changed.

Then you have no right to think that way as you don't know how good or bad it is. Relying onm speculation alone is not the way to go.

How about NOT jumping to conclusions and actually give a channel a chance to do a good job.

Why is that so hard to do.

A 4kids dub this is not. The UK Jetix dub of Naruto this is not. German Naruto this is not, Saban Moon (look it up it's different then the dub we got of Sailor Moon) this is not.

even after all the good they did for Ghibli movies? without them we'd still only have a sub-par dub of Laputa and the only version of Nausicaa we'd have would have been the horribly edited Warriors of the Wind (which was a full half hour shorter than the uncut version).

besides, Disney isn't JUST Disney. they also own/hold stock in Touschstone, Miramax, ESPN, ABC, Buena Vista, Mammoth Records (which is now part of Hollywood Records but use to be very distinct on it's own even for several years after Disney bought it), A&E, Lifetime, Hyperion books, and a few other things as well (they even are one of three companies that jointly own HBO in Europe). and thy now own Marvel as well, considering how DC became part of Warner Brothers that was probably a good investment on both parts, because now Marvel has the backing to compete with DC still.

Tghe only decent Ghibli dub released before Disney started dubbing all their movies was Totoro and it's translation still left some things to be desired.

I had to look it up online since the service in my area doesn't get Disney XD, but TV listing sites I found that did have it listed said it was rated TV PG. that's what it was on Toonami, IIRC.

I believe he/she is comparing the rating Naruto gets compared to every other Disney Xd show as a way to prove that Naruto Shippuden does not belong on Disney XD. Thing is Naruto was the first PG rated show to air on main cartoon Network when the rest of it's shows were Y and Y7 as well so that really falls flat.

Really nothing annoys me more then people trying to claim that Disney Xd targets a younger audence then Cartoon network targets. If anything Disney Xd was created as Disney's attempt to rival Cartoon Network and Nick which means it targets the same group.

y in the world would the put naruto on disneyxd. naruto has alot of violence in it and parents wont let their kids watch it, but im happy the they're putting it back on tv
