I cried quite a few times... It's nice how they had some people die. Hopefully I won't cry the second time around... Sometimes I do that though so I wouldn't be surprised. I have a question about Dio though... In the end... what happened to him? I was confused whether he died or not... it was sort of hard for me to tell.

As far as I can tell, no he didn't. You dont actually see him after his "end" but you do hear his voice when the Silvana lifts off in the last episode.

Yes.. hearing his voice had me believe that... but I still wasn't 100% sure. Thank you for your input though... it helps me believe that more than I did before. I was so sad when I saw that... It seems that of my top 5 favorites... only 1 of them made it through to the end...which made me sad.
And I gave you a ten on your avatar. I really like it.

XP I couldn't figure out what to put for a quote for Cicada since he doesn't have many lines and none of them are that impacting...I just put the first thing that came to my mind.. which ended up being sort of snobbish. XD

I actually bought this series on a whim.

I was in a store called Gamesmen, and they have a large Anime section. I remembered seeing a preview on it in the Mahou Sensei Negima Collection (Yeah, I actually bought every volume 1 by 1).

It was on Special, so I decided to buy it.

At first it reminded me of Trinity Blood (also done by Gonzo), with the opening, but soon it changed.

I am still working my way through the series, I am on the 6th disc out of 7, where Dio has just raised the sword showing he has defeated all in his way, so he can become Maestro.

It is a very well done series, and has the best 3D CG I have seen since Initial D 4th Stage. The character names are great, and the story is exceptional.

Talking about names reminds me of Luciola and Cicada. I love their names! I think it's neat how they are both named after bugs too. X3

Sorry for not replying for a while! Our computer crashed. We sent our hard drive to my computer expert brother, to see what he can do with it. As for now we have a piece-of-crap hard drive that has Windows 98 rolleyes

I would vote for you, Blood, but the Arenas are screwed up on this computer so I can't vote or see entered avatars.

Although I was of different mind when I first watched LE, I prefer that Dio did die because it would make him seem a lot cooler.. not sure if I already said that though.

Yeah, a lot of my favorite characters in other anime die too.. But yeah, Vincent didn't die.

I want a professionally done custom Last Exile profile! >.<

Luciola is a type of bug? *looks it up in Wikipedia* Ooooh. Japanese Firefly. Grave of the Fireflies! I love that movie. So sad. Anyway, back on track, I knew there must have been some sort of connection to bugs, Luciola's brother being Cicada, plus, remember when Dio was trying to name Luciola? He went through 'mantis'.. and another name, can't remember what it is.

Onicept: You're going to enjoy the ending. I am of the mind that the disk you're on and the last disk are the best parts.

Also, finally getting to see what Prester looks from the outside was interesting, and after watching the series for the second and third times, I finally realized that hints of how Prester looked -- you know, the somewhat hourglass shape -- were scattered through the anime.. one example is the Prester symbol on the floor of the Maestro's throne room. Also, the symbol on the book, when they say the episode title. I would love it if someone could point out more?

I didn't cry. But that's just because I'm like that. I did get overly emotional though, mostly for Dio. I still get mad when I watch the mind-warped Dio.. poking his fork to the plate.. laughing like a retard.. smashing the cake.. I HAVE to watch the Maestro's death scene just to make me feel better. I EFFING EFFING HATE HER HATE HER HAAAAAATE HEEEEEEER. And I luff Alex for breaking her neck whee

I hate her too... And I had Alex as my fave the first time I saw him...and was so happy that the was the one that killed her! I was laughing my head off and screaming, "YEAH! YOU GO MAN!"

Well, for me, my favorite characters were actually:

Lavie, Tatiana, Alister and Mullen. I dunno why I like Mullen, I just thought he was cool. I also felt somewhat sad when he was supposed dead by Dunya.

The ending was really good, and Gonzo seems good at the whole "sudden ending and epilogue" area of Anime, which also happened in Trinity Blood.

But still, after everything that happens. There are a lot of questions that could be asked.

Where did Exile come from? Where did it go to? Was the planet shown during the 4th Mysteria Earth?

I know Dio survives, but what happens to him after his insanity in the Grand Stream?

Also, with the Prester thing...wannabout the map of the Grand Stream? It was in a hour-glass type shape.
