Last Exile is my all time favorite anime! It was the first anime I really got into and I turned around to my brother and said, "I'm getting this." I finally after two years, have got the whole series and I love it! I have watched it so many times I have lost count. I will say that the English Dub is good, but as soon as I watched it in Japanese, I liked the Japanese better. (obviously) I will say that I was sad to learn that the English doesn't really do anything with the gay mechanic, while in Japanese you KNOW he's gay. Also, in Japanese, Dio has a HUGE obsession over death, while in English, it's a passing fancy. I love both subbed and dubbed!

For Christmas two years ago, I got the stuffed goat plushie! I love it and it stands tall for all to see on my stereo in my room!

yeah... well, ya see, im a guy. So im not sad at all that they didnt do anything more with the gay mechanic in the dubbed version XD

4laugh Funny, I'm not really much for yaoi and all that, but sometimes I like gay guys >w< and the Lucciola/Dio pairing is cute. whee

It is quite entertaining yes, but as I said before, no yaoi for me ^^. I did however get much entertainment out of the relationship between Dio and "Immelmann", lol.

Flying is always the greatest dream of humankind. Even though now we can travel to the space, we still long for the blue sky, the wind, the speed, and the view of flying.
And that's why I like Lastexile. Even though it's plot is not completely satisfying or understandable, the flying scenes are BEAUTIFUL!!! I just love those vanships!
And the music!! The soundtrack is my all-time second favorite, only next to SaiKano!!
And Alvis is sooooo CUTE!! lol lol lol

Hmm. Not sure what you mean by 'not satisfying or understandable'. I was satisfied and I understood it.. O.o
Anyway, you're right. The graphics in Last Exile are the best in ANY anime I've seen thus far.
Yes, the music heart I want the soundtrack >.< Well, I guess I'll just have to be happy with just the box set, considering I'm broke right now.

Ya know, he kinda does. At like the very last scene of the last episode you can hear the voice of Dio coming from the engine room of the Silvana yelling "Ascending!"

I love Last Exile, i found it before it was licenced but only watched the first episode or two, when it came out even though it was an unknown series at the time i got the dvds and art box. Then Anime Unleashed aired it which made me happy only to find outh that they sped it up slightly and cut scenes (grrrrrrrr). I love all the work that Range Murata does, if you liked the art work, check out "Blue Sub #6".
