It's kinda the same with me.

I got it back in late 2005/early 2006 and meant to watch it, but I kinda took a break from anime in the middle of The Twelve Kingdoms, for whatever reason. It wasn't until after Claymore had rekindled my interest in anime earlier this month that I finally decided to watch it.

It had such a fully realized world with an intriguing and slowly unfolding plot with a likable and charming cast.

Yes I would think that they brain wash everyone. That was the reason I had to think he was younger... but he acts older. He still had prominent emotions, unlike his brother and the rest of the noticeably older Guild members. But then Delphine... she doesn't exactly act like she was brainwashed at 17 now does she? I wonder if she was able to get out of it or something. I can't believe what those people have to go through... She gets such wonderful food and they don't eat squat and they get brainwashed and have to do her bidding? My hatred for the woman just gets stronger the more I think about it.

Hmm. Well yes, Luciola doesn't usually show any emotion, in fear of his higher-ups, I'm sure. He was like that since he was first introduced to Dio, which leads me to believe that he was either tramatized, or just quickly learned his lesson that he is merely a servant. Which makes him seem mature and older. But he is very much a sane person, so obviously he's not old enough to be brainwashed.
As for Delphine, she probably did get brainwashed, which is why she's such a horrible person.

I dunno what version of the boxset I have, I suppose it is different from the US boxart though. I will look. Nope, that image does not pop up anywhere in my boxset, on any of the volumes or anything.

Hmm. Well, I am very proud of my boxset. On each of the DVD covers, front and back, it has Range Murata art. And on the inside, it has data on the Silvana, Disith ships, Anatary ships, the red vanship, Exile itself, and more. It was even an impulsive buy. Just saw it there, in the mall, and nothing else mattered. I had to get it. And I never once regretted the 90 bucks.

Mine also has lots of Range Murata art, however all the information is actually on the DVD's and not on the discs (we just have reversible covers).

But my boxset doesn't actually have that one picture on it. And mine was also a impulse buy (mine was 70 bucks though).

Um yeah, that's what I have. Reversible covers. I'll get some pics of it all, if I can, but I'm not sure if I have enough juice in my camera batteries.
I told a friend once, I'd pay 150 dollars for that anime, it's so awesome. Then she said "200 dollars?" I said no. Haha 4laugh

I've tasted Merlot, Pinot Grigio.. maybe a couple others, but I can't stand it. Not even from an itty bitty sip.
But hey, I think we're a bit off topic here. I don't mind talking about other stuff but this is a Last Exile thread so I think we should keep it to that.

Honestly I hate alcohol too; beers are the nastiest things ever. However I dont mind hard alcohol like vodka or tequila.

and so my post at least has something to do with last exile:

There are actually shows (Like Eureka seveN and Negima) that I would spend over 200 dollars for.

I do however, whether I like it or not, have to pay over 200 dollars to finish my Eureka seveN collection. I have 2 out of 10 volumes.

30 x 8 = 240. Except I can only buy up to volume 8 so far (8th volume is released on the 5th of december) I have to pay 180 dollars so far. ^^
