Well, what can I say? She enjoys breaking people and it's a crying shame because how would she feel if she was broken in? She is the epitome of upper-upper class, and I don't like them because all that I've met are snobbish uptight.......prigs. Yes, I know I'm generalizing, but that's what I see the Guild as. Upper class with slaves. Anatoray is middle class, and Disith is lower class. All because of circumstances. I wrote an essay for an English class almost two years ago about the anime. My teacher wrote back on my paper, "I'm checking this out now even though it's a children's cartoon" =.=

Most anime are definitely... NOT a child's show.
And Last Exile requires a certain refined taste, even for anime watchers.

Exactly my thoughts.
I mean look at hentai, yuri, yaoi, tenticle freaky-ness!!! That stuff is SO NOT for kiddies.
I know some people who like the random kiddie anime more than last exile or Ghost in the Shell or other anime like them. *sigh*

It's funny that Delphine had an affinity for breaking things and laughing (or similing in Alex's case) but she wasn't laughing when Alex broke her neck.
I found myself laughing at her. (I have a black heart at times)

Awesome Anime. Except that usually when i watch animes, i really get addicted to them, like death note, FMA, code geass. Then i watched last exile which was worth watching and it was fun but couldnt get addicted to it. Maybe it was beacuse i was addicted to an anime then while addicted tried to watch something. Which is really weird...

Alex killing Delphine allowed him to rest in peace. If he hadn't killed her and died anyways... he would have died with an unfulfilled mission.

Exactly and I think it was appropriate and perfect that at the end of the series, a grave was made for him, or at least the tombstone. My question is, though, who's the next Commander of the Silvana. I don't remember if they stated who would be it or if they were going to put it out of commission

Wasn't it Sophia? Maybe not... but that was what I thought. sweatdrop I mean, I know she's the empress and everything but it seemed she still wanted to be a part of the Silvana.
