talk2hand wait wait wait crona cant be a girl, he had a crush on maka didnt he? at least thats wat i got from it and in manga sweatdrop i think 4 or 5 (though im not 2 sure which) the begining pic there at "death bucks" and crona's dressed in a boy shirt and i think he wears a dress because medusa wanted a girl ( some1els said that but idk how 2 quote so) and all the girls in soul eater (at least the nonchild ones) have boobs if you havent noticed xd and crona dosnt have any (i checked in several eps in the anime and manga 3nodding ) so i think he is a boy (though i think youv already figured that out 4laugh )

he is comonly mistaken for a girl but there is something in either the anime and manga that super easy to miss that proves he is a guy...i just cant remember what...!

I think not even the mangaka is certain which it is. so it can be both. Chrona does boy and girl things looks and acts like he/she could be any of the two. so I wouldn't know. I just see it as an extra joke by the author. Don't think the mangaka ever gave an answer to the question boy or girl for as far as I know either.

REAL ANSWER: Nobody knows until the mangaka comes out and says so.

It's true that Crona uses "boku" in the anime which is usually used by boys, but when it comes down to it it's really ambiguous. And in the English dub they refer to it as "he" just so they wouldn't have to keep using "it" even though they got Maxey Whitehead to voice him who is very obviously female (who is NOT a 12-year-old. Get your facts straight.)
And in the manga there is some art of Crona in a very vulnerable, "female" position and so some would argue that it's a girl.

We just don't officially know, but we can pick a side. I think of him as a boy for ease of use.

Frankly, Ohkubo is making a pretty big effort to keep this ambiguous. So I say, no worry about it.

If anything, Crona is whatever gender you feel like s/he is. Today, a girl. Tomorrow, a boy. I think it's more exciting that way.

SPOILER FOR MANGA READERS HERE---->hmmm....u all make great points but in the later manga, medusa says she changed crona, that he is no longer the crona they knew, so he is now a girl considering the position he was in wink butttt..... later he fights black star and he refers 2 crona as having male body parts,but then ragnorak fulls up his "dress" then crona calls him a perv and come on how many guys say perv? xd

Crona's gender is ambiguous, the creator never made a gender for Crona. I just call Crona a boy myself just because in the anime, he's a boy and it makes things less confusing when referring to him. Not to mention, Crona's mannerisms seem more like that of a boy than of a girl most of the time, but yeah. In actuality, Crona has no gender.

Crona has no actually gender. I call Crona a "her" because she seems like one (clothing, being called a her in the anime and manga). Mostly people think Crona is a he, because they just seen the anime, and haven't read the manga. Not too many people think Crona is a girl. emotion_8c But, they have a right to say if Crona is a girl or boy.
