How did you get into Anime?

I bonded with my sister while we were growing up through anime.

my very first anime was probably sailor moon or pokemon. but i got into anime because of kiki's delivery service.

sailor moon was my first anime, and it was the one that got me interested in anime.

Sailor Moon! Ahh those were the good 'ole days.. That was my first anime too.

I got two words for ya: my sister.

So it all started when I was very little and my older sister was watching Ouran High School Host Club. I was soo confused as to why she loved watching anime. As I grew older, I always used to see her watching Gokusen and the what not. I still didn't get why she loved it. One day when I was about 10 years old, I asked her again why she loved anime so much and she told me to watch the first episode of Ouran HSHC. As soon as i realized it, I WAS ADDICTED. Literally. Ever since then, the words anime and manga never left my vocabulary.

First anime: Ouran High School Host Club
Second anime: NANA
Third anime: Paradise Kiss

First manga: Fruits Basket
Second manga: Gokusen
Third manga: High School Debut/Koukou Debut

In fourth grade, my friend knew how to draw anime REALLY well. She ended up teaching me how to draw it, and i asked what it was. She told me and said there were books and shows for it. Soooo, i ended up one night waking up to an episode of inuyasha, and have looooovedddd anime since 3nodding

My cousin told me about Naruto, then i watched... But the Ger Dub was not really my style, so I decided to watch it in Japanese.
Then there were several Anime's with interesting names and I ended up watching 20 at the same time xD

I first was introduced to anime when I was four years old. My mom showed me Wolfs Rain, which probably wasn't the best anime to watch at four. sweatdrop
My first manga was Naruto. What I think would be good anime for first-timers would be Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Butler, or Angel Beats.

I first saw Pokemon when I was about 4 years old & then I got interested in Yu Gi-Oh, Sailormoon, & Cardcaptor Sakura

I really got into it after I started reading the Cardcaptor Sakura Manga
