That’s pretty much it for rules.

I think its time for a serious Gundam topic. I want people who like Gundam series to voice their opinions about them why they like and don’t like certain series. And this is a debate so no lashing out, like: “Well your stupid cause you like _______!”

5 - Excellent, worth seeing again and again.

I never really watched any of the Gundam episodes while they were on television, and after they took them off, years ago, and even then after...I never cared about it..

But now, for some reason, I really want to watch some of the episodes...

Which ones do you suggest I watch? Any particular order...or whatnot? My friends are constantly talking about Heero and how cool he is..

God, I sound like such a loser...but it's much appreciated if you help, heh.

Gundam Wing is my favourite Gundam series. I found it had everything I like in a series and didn't drag on much for a slightly longer series. And Endless Waltz was, in my opinion, one of the better OAV's created for an already popular series. There are plenty of things in GW that are disturbing, such as anything related to age/ height, or get a bit annoying ("He's just a kid!" wink , but the former leads to amusement and the latter lead to the creation on the Gundam Wing drinking game.

I found Gundam Seed annoying except for the very beginning and the very end. Mostly because Kira was so damn angsty and Fllay just pissed me off. The story line was decent enough, but everything seemed to repeat itself over and over again.

Gundam Seed Destiny I like well enough. More so than Seed but less than Wing. But other than that, I don't have much to say about this series.

Universal Century, it felt more like a war story than just another super robot type of series. especially the later UC era Gundams like Zeta, 0080, 0083, F91 and Victory. Mobile Suit Gundam is the series that started the idea that a big robot can become a weapon of war and not just another tool of a super hero. The conflict was fought by people on both sides for their own reasons and the lines for good and evil were very bury for the common foot soldiers.

Not to mention some of the colors of a few mobile suits like the Zaku II were what a real war machine should be. The dark greens, running around in a suit with bright colors is just asking to be shot. And the UC Gundam has the one peice of tech that made mobile suits practical, Minovsky Particles which jammed radar, and some other forms of long range sensors and communication. If it not for Minovsky particles mobile suits would just become a large sensor profile and easy to hit with armor peiceing guided long range weapons.

Which is why UC Gundam is the best of the Gundam series. The characters and the tech just made more sense.

And I see rule #1 has already been broken by all Wing and Seed fans so far except for Zephire, my compliments to her. A Wing fan that doesn't sound like a fanboy/girl.

The problem i have with Wing is that there are no strong antagonists. Zechs was great but then he became good. After that it was an easy win.
I like Endless walts, but its the same thing. It was too easy. If they killed the enemy instead of immobilizing them, it would have been over in 20 mins. And at the end when the beam cannon's recoil rips Wing Zero to shreads, lame.
