I find i have a thirst for watching anime and i am wondering what recommendations anyone might have.
Something with a good plot yet slightly romantic would be great, almost like Fruits Basket or Skip Beat? |

I would say School Rumble. It's a romantic comedy so there isn't a whole lot of romance, but there's still a few moments added in.

 I have a couple I could probably recommend. -> S.A. (or Special A) is pretty good, it has kinda the same feel as Skip Beat (with the whole I don't like you in the beginning but the relationship grows). Though I've only read the manga <- -> Vampire Knight is a good manga, though not too sure of the anime, though I might recommend giving it a shot. <- -> Honey and Clover is very cute, caters to a bit of an older audience because it focuses on college students. <- -> Nodame Cantabile is awesome and adorable (though I recommend the drama more than anime, it does really well in live action) <- -> Lovely Complex - or Love*Com is amazing. <- -> Nana is very good. <- -> Ouran High School Host Club... hilarious, plus great plot (though seems incredibly silly at first) and it's cute how the relationships build. <- -> Romeo X Juliet is a good action + romance <- And all of those are complete anime, so no worries about waiting for releases. Um... though this was a general list of those I've seen and liked that are kind of like the furuba/skip beat type, ones that I prob recommend the most are Nodame drama; Love*Com and Ouran; though all of them are awesome =3 Hope this helps! |

all the animes I am reccomending has some sort of romance in them... though in the end in the anime do they actually bloom and admit... thats a different story....
-DNangel -Elfen Lied (warning: bloody, violent, nudity) -Black Cat (kinda... but the main characters seem to be love interest or possible love interest dies early on in the anime but still really good) -Gakuen Heaven (Boys love) -Gakuen Alice (cute... you realise people have crushes on the main character... but like in the fruits basket anime... nobody admits it to her) -Kyoshiro To Towa No Sora -Strawberry Panic (girls love) -Cardcaptor Sakura -Angel Sanctuary (incest) -Tsubasa Chronicles -Vision Of Escaflowne -Air (sad) -Fullmoon Wo Sagashite -Please Teacher -Please Twins (kinda a sequel to please teacher... but different people... you just see the previous people in certain scenes) -Kare Kano -This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (warning: Nudity... i think) -La Corda D'oro -Karin (aka Chibi Vampire) -Fushigi Yugi (Cheesiest anime I ever saw) -Myself; Yourself -Kamichama Karin -Shining Tears X Wind -Zero No Tsukaima (Perverted) -Prism Ark -Xclamp (i cant remember if there is any real romance in it... but its just a really good anime) -Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun (perverted) -Saint Tail -Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne -Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (aka The Wallflower... aka Perfect Girl Evolution) -Rosario + Vampire (perverted) -Hakushaku To Yousei -Kuroshitsuji (no real romance... just plain awesome You should read the manga Tokyo Babylon and watch the 2 Ovas.... I highly recommend Nana. It hasn't been released in the US yet but you can find it streaming on Veoh. It's an amazing anime with deep characters. It's one of my top 5's.

Definitely check out Romeo x Juliet if you haven't already. 3nodding Some other good ones worth checking out though would be Kamichama Karin, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, or I My Me Strawberry Eggs. |
