Zero no Tsukaima

Story
Zero no Tsukaima follows the adventures of the protagonists Louise and her familiar Saito. Louise is a second year student at the Tristain Academy of Magic. In this world, those who can use magic are either mages or nobles.

Louise is terrible at magic, and can never use it the way she wants to. She is dubbed the nickname "Louise the Zero" by her classmates, due to her success rate of casting spells of being almost always zero. Early in the school year, the second year students summon their familiars; this is considered a special ritual where a mage summons their eternal protector and partner, which usually is some sort of magical creature. Louise manages to summon a human commoner named Saito Hiraga, leaving her totally humiliated. Due to the sacredness of the ritual, Louise is left with no choice but to reluctantly accept Saito as her familiar. She proceeds to treat Saito as any other familiar only worse, making him sleep on a bed of hay and beats him with a whip for little to no reason, among other things.

One day Saito challenges a noble who disrespects commoners to a duel. Saito is beaten badly at first, but once a sword was put in Saito's hands, he gained amazing powers and wields the sword with great ability. Louise and Saito's relationship's develop during the course of the story. Together they face many mysteries and uncover unexpected truths, including the nature of Saito's hidden power, and the secrets of the legendary "void" element.

There are now 2 seasons for this anime.

Season 2 is named Zero no Tsukaima: Futatsuki no Kishi

This sequel is a continuation of the previous season, not long after the war. Louise and Saito seemingly getting along now since she knows that he had given up his only chance to return to Tokyo for her. The story continues as Louise begins to use Void Magic from a mysterious secret book she had recieved from her majesty Henrietta, while a new villain has appeared in town causing trouble.

welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll an epic battle would be toast pie my clone army and an old person. if toast had his M16 and shot pie it would be dead.unless pie had his anti weaponry bullet proof vest and shot toast blood would spill(butter in this case).but an old person has airsupport and the army every one would exept my clones.

I really liked the first season but the second one (so far) sucks. I'm really glad the original light novel is getting published (eventually) soon. =D

imo the first season was better then the second but the last episode of the second season made me cry..... and i thought it was the best epi outa the whole anime

maybe idk i liked 95% of every thing in both season... they could have left out all the boob action tho >.< not sayin it was bad but it really wasnt needed

I've watched a few episodes of the first season. this reminded me of Harry Potter. well, I got bored watching this, so I stopped and watched Cardcaptor Sakura instead. rofl

yea a third or forth season would need to bring in earth or something again even tho it said he missed his only chance to return home when he stayed for Louise.

I've heard of this anime so many times, but I've never had the chance to look into it. Thanx for the description. It sounds more interesting than it did when I read a different description. I already know a few good sites that I can watch the episodes on, if they have them.
