First anime I watch was Pokemon when I was really young, but I didn't known about anime til age 11 when I entered middle school, I'm currently 14 and still love anime. Well my dad don't have a problem with it because he like some anime series as well and he's a huge fan of Studio Ghibli movies. My mom on the other hand...she said it's stupid and she didn't want me to watch anime, she rather wants me to watch Disney Channel shows and some other lame shows like Pretty Little Liars and Degrassi. I told my mom I enjoy anime not those dumb Disney Channel shows...I mean what happen to Disney? They made good animated movies back then not those teenybopper shows about their high school life and secret and also the actors usually end up becoming singers and they all are terrible singers, my little sister watches Disney Channel many hours a day and I'm tired of hearing those terrible singers. I guess I kinda favor my dad more because he's more open on what I watch and he even took me to Otakon a few months ago which was my first anime convention. Well hopefully my mom accepts me for who I am because I prefer anime over Disney Channel shows and other boring shows average preteens/teens watch. So what's your parents reaction when you watch anime?

The first anime I ever watched was Sailor Moon. My mum had no problem with it because she was the person who introduced me to it. I began to branch out and explore different genres, and I she didn't really mind until I started watching shows like Rurouni Kenshin or Blood +, then she started to freak out.

Disney Channel is not fun now anyways. Props to your cool dad. My dad never took me to Sakura-con, he only takes me to comicon..

I'm just watching stuff like Ouran Highschool Host Club, Maid Sama, and Clannad. I don't know what the hell his deal is...
