Welcome to Gaia! ::

lol by this i mean, please don't be the sort of yaoi fan that watches yaoi just to diddle yourself. you are not the person i want to talk to.

i'm looking forrrrr some like...yaoi/shounen ai fans who don't just watch the PWP yaoi s**t that is really only created to get 16yo girls off.

ie someone who watches a non-shounen ai show, sees the dynamics between two males and their potential, but isnt like "OMG THEY'RE REAL!!1!112"

suffice to say, i'm looking for people who like "slashable" (even if theres not any real fanservice) anime

BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE FOR SOME AWESOME ANIME SUGGESTIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY HAVE TASTE YAY

i'm actually super nice i'm just tired of asking for recs and getting
"lol watch gravitation"
"lol papa to kiss in the dark, sexy ********"

no please, no.

lol for reference, here are some anime's i have enjoyed the most:
le chevalier d'eon (if you bitches havent watched this, you are missing out on life)
toward the terra (same as above)
gankutsuou
******** what else have i seen.....
let dai is a shounen ai manga that is ******** amazing as s**t

I'm sorry if you want only anime, but I have a manga suggestion if you're interested. Tokyo Babylon is really, really awesome, IMO. It's a nice combination of supernatural and shounen ai, and tends to touch on really deep subjects such as rape and prejudice, among others. I don't want to spoil it, but be warned: the beginning of the series is deceptively lighthearted. But if it's anime you want, any other series by CLAMP should do the trick...
I don't know if you've seen Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi yet? But they're written pretty well. Each one is about seveal couples.

Also, No. 6. I've been told it can't be considered BL because romance is not the main focus of the story. Regardless, the main characters are gay, and it's a very interesting anime. I can't say the same for the ending, but as a whole it's good enough that I would recommend it. 3nodding

junjou romantica makes me want to kick puppies
sekaiichi hatsukoi also has the butt ugly romantica style art and is therefore out of the question

no 6 looks promising at least!

Not bothering to be a p***k and teaching you about BL terms.
The only one that's homo (whatever you wanna call it) I'd suggest is No. 6.

Tokyo Babylon does have an OVA adaption as well. it's more sidestory than anything else, but it's a way to check it out and see if you want to invest in the manga beforehand (not to mention it was licensed in the US quite a while before the manga was so for a while it was the only Tokyo Babylon you could get in the English language).
I really enjoyed Warui Koto Shitai. It's a manga you can find on Manga fox. It has a sequels as well. My favorite of the sequels is Kirai ja nai kedo
I'm slightly confused....you want a yaoi anime that's not a yaoi..?
Um...let's see what my puny brain can wrack up. I dunno if you'll like them though. And some suggestions might be pretty old.

Meine Liebe
Gundam 00
Jyu Oh Sei (I don't quite remember this at all, so perhaps this isn't a good suggestion.)

As for manga, I''ve heard people say that if you like Let Dai, you'll enjoy Banana Fish.. The drawings are pretty old though, just to warn you.

Ai no Kusabi and Fuyu no Semi. emo <3
Oh wait are you asking for non-BL animu that just have slashable characters?
uhh
Thirding No. 6.
Maybe adding Tactics as well, though I can't say much for the anime as I haven't watched it myself yet.

If by chance you're okay with a "hard yaoi" manga title, give Kyuusou wa Cheese no Yume wo Miru a shot? There's a lot of drama, but it's actually really good.
I'm not a huge fan of Yaoi but there are some I like Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness) it's light but I rather much enjoyed it and Loveless. I was also going to suggest Gravitation but..then I saw what you wrote. ;P

I believe what they mean is they do want a Yaoi.. it's just they don't want a Hentai Yaoi and the commonly suggested Yaoi known as Gravitation.

Well if you want something fanservice-y then I suggest Kuroshitsuji.
No.6 is also great! (One of the two shows that has made me cry.)
Junjou Romantica 2 is pretty amazing once you get over the art. It's great for people who want to see less sex and more of the relationship.
Code Geass isn't really something I would reccomend, but in this situation I guess it's okay. You can tell the antagonist and protagonist have very strong feelings for each other. (Even if it is more of a friendship =w=;; )
I'm seconding both Tokyo Babylon and No.6, as both are wonderful series.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I'm going to go ahead and recommend Nabari no
Ou. There are quite a lot of BL undertones and the characters are very well written and believable. But just stick with manga, the anime sucked.(although Funi did a great job dubbing it)

I got confused....a bit op.

You want shonen ai or yaoi in general?

From what I gather you want something outside of the norm so maybe No bra? Also Yakisoba milk tea is good if you don't mind straight pairings mixed in with shonen ai hints.

Prunus girl in my opinion is the best thing out there. Shoujo-ai with shonen-ai together.

I have no idea if anyone mentions it, but Pandora hearts is a big one, especially with Oz/Gil.
