I've seen quite a few yaoi and male anime character threads in the past, how about one for the guys and girls who like girls?

Tell us who your favorite female anime characters are, and why you like them. Also feel free to discuss some of your favorite yuri pairings.

Honestly, I like small figured women, not busy ones like Orihime or Matsumoto from Bleach, or Tsunade from Naruto, etc.

I love Kim, Maka, and Tsugumi from Soul Eater, Rukia from Bleach, Nia from Gurren Lagann, (though I love Yoko as well, but for her personality, not her cleavage,) and other smaller females.

I like petite, small breasts, small figures! No giant breasts, please. It is sad because I LOVE One Piece, but all of the women have massive breasts and unrealistic curves! DAMN IT ODA, GIVE ME PETITE GIRLS!!!

Favorite Yuri pairings... Mostly from Soul Eater, I have,

Kim x Jacqueline
Kim x Tsugumi
Tsugumi x Kim
Maka x Tsugumi
Tsugumi x Meme or Anya
Tsubaki x Maka
Marie x Azusa

And... I just love Soul Eater yuri, so sue me. And if you haven't read Soul Eater Not! You need to do so because Tsugumi Harudari is ******** adorable.

I also like Soi Fon x Yoruichi from Bleach because it is adorable, even though I really don't like Bleach much anymore. I also liked Meryl x Milly from Trigun, and I've even done Holo x Nora from Spice and Wolf. : /

I like my girls and Yuri, so... Come on men, get it out; talk about your favorite female anime characters, and your favorite Yuri pairings.

I'm personally not a fan of yuri, but occasionally there are some femslash pairings I like.
- Kyuubei/Otae (Gintama)
- Homura/Madoka (Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica)
- Chie/Yukiko (Persona 4 The Animation)
...are my 3 favorites now.

Current favorite female characters are Karuta (Inu x Boku SS), Mami (Madoka), and Yuno (Mirai Nikki).

Well my friend, at least you are ditching these two anime for things that are just as good. Lains a classic, Moster was just down right entertaining, and Kaiji....IT'S ******** KAIJI I don't need to say more than that.

But I just remembered there is one yuri pairing I can get behind. And that's the two main characters in Saki.

But I just remembered there is one yuri pairing I can get behind. And that's the two main characters in Saki.
For some reason, this I like.

I have a generally large range of enjoyment.

I can get behind anime with more thought put behind them like Lain, Mushishi, Kino's Journey, Casshern Sins, Kaiji, Akagi, Monster, Phoenix, etc, etc...

But I can also enjoy mindless s**t like One Piece and Bleach. I KNOW Bleach is terrible, I know how heavily flawed it is, but despite the fact it is flawed garbage, I enjoy it because of its stupidity.

I can enjoy the good and the bad; even if something is flawed, and technically a VERY bad anime, I can still enjoy it. I acknowledge Bleach is terrible, but I"m so far in, I might as well read it weekly. ><

I also love GOOD mindless shonen; I honestly feel like Toriko is a better Dragonball Z; it is over the top and ridiculous, but it is cliche done WELL!

I feel like you should be able to appreciate more complex anime, but one should never be so much of an elitist that they also cannot enjoy something mindless and silly.
