I still can't quite get over the fact that Kishimoto threw Danzo in as this hilariously obvious buffer to keep Sasuke in that ambiguous gray zone of anti-heroics.
What's that? Having Sasuke want to destroy Konoha sounds too villainous? Fine, we'll make the village corrupt and have Danzo be the villain!
What's that now? Defeating Danzo to avenge his family and subsequently liberating the village from corrupt tyranny is too heroic? Let's have him heartlessly kill/wound one of his friends!
Sasuke's never really been walking the line between good and evil, he's just been smacked back and forth over the line like he's a volley ball.

Hahaha. I always found it funny how Sasuke is probably the most easily manipulated character I've ever read/seen. At least Jack Ryan from Bioshock had an excuse.
