Dude, Kid lost in a three against 2 fight. Soul Eater and Black Star weren't even compatible. If Black Star had Tsubaki he would have murdered Kid instead of just beating him.

If you're talking about the fight before Black Star leaves Shibusen, then that was only because he could not use his soul wavelength. He he been able to, it would have been over after his first attempt to strike him with his soul wavelength. Kidd even expressed this when he said something to Black Star when he was unconscious. Black Star is quite probably the second strongest technician to be able to fight without a weapon, second only to Dr.Stein. Kidd would definitely have to be third though.
