Why isnt Shotacon/Lolicon legal?

Supporters stress that fictional characters and drawn art, no matter how offense cannot cause actual harm to a living individual. They also claim it can sometimes be theraputic to those who have actually suffered sexual abuse in the past, or may be struggling with urges they do not want to express or act upon in real life.

I think it should be perfectly legal for adults. Given that lolicon and shotacon is simply people drawing sexualized pictures from their imagination, no one is being harmed by it's production or it's viewing. If it required actual children to produce it, then I would agree that it should be banned, but in this case it's just ink on a page or images on the computer and not the photographed or videotaped rape of a child.
I'd agree, but now even thoughts are a crime.

Well, its a natural defensive move for humans to try to destroy what makes them squeam. Its entirely expected for people to want to ban this kind of stuff but in the end, people have to realize that theres nothing wrong with sexuality of any kind. Just because it dosnt personally turn you on, it dosnt mean other people cant enjoy it.

Besides, liking lolicon and shotacon does not = *****. I love lolicon, in fact I spent half of last night finding loli pictures, but IRL Im scared of kids. I cant touch them, I feel uncomfortable in the same room with them and I would sooner kill myself before ever giving birth to anything. : / IRL kids are gross, loli girls? Adorable ~ heart

Same thing goes for Toddlercon.
There was one I was wanting to buy, but I'd probably get sent off to the local clink just for shipping it over here.

We need a black market for lolicon/shotacon/toddlercon. *nod* It'll help us - just like bootleggers when alcohol was illegal. We need a loli/shota/toddler speak easy. ninja

With how conservative Britain is, any black market would probably be closed down within a matter of days D:
Maybe they should make underground shipping sites online?

@Tyruby: Agreed.
Because to them, the risk of rape is much worse than the risk of murder.

So it's actually illegal to possess it now? I haven't been keeping up on this s**t.

Though if they've banned that stuff they should ban killing people in video games; it's the same damn s**t.

I dont know where you live, but its illegal here in America.
And theyre actually trying to get a law to get you in a whole lot of damn trouble if you have it or buy it.

Explain. If it's already illegal you should already be getting in a lot of trouble if you have it.

I dont have any (books or so) thats not on my computer. And theyre obviously not going to check my computer now are they?
But if they catch you with it, the you are screwed.
But if they dont catch you its fine. =D

I thought we would have learned that the
concept of thoughtcrime was a no-no.
