XXXX"Since we've been together so long...Another purpose has started to emerge...."

    xxxxxXXXXX╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗

What did you enjoy about Code Geass?
The fighting? The basic Plot? The Characters? This might help in finding another
    anime that you'll like.

    xxxxxXXXXX╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════╝

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"...A Purpose?"

The characters, and the general plot. The mech combat I didn't care for all that much. Although I felt a few people died unnecessarily in R2...
Trigun
Hellsing
Kiba
Wolf's Rain
Evengelion
I know, a lot of these went off air, but they're still cool
full metal panic was pretty good 3nodding
you should check out Death Note...I am a huge Code Geass fan and I just started watching Death Note and I love it.

I suggest Detective Conan~

Shinichi Kudo is a high school student who, by using observation and deduction, is good at solving mysteries. While investigating one, he is caught by the criminals that he was watching and forced to take an experimental drug. Leaving him for dead, the criminals disappear. Instead of killing him, however, the drug turns Shinichi into a little kid.

To preserve the illusion of his 'disappearance', Shinichi adopts a new name based on his favorite author (Arthur Conan Doyle) and becomes Conan Edogawa. Ran, his (actually Shinichi's) childhood friend takes this little boy under her wing and brings him to her home. Conan now lives at a detective agency run by Ran's father, but his mind is as keen as ever and he continues to solve mysteries...always allowing Ran's father to take all the credit.

As far as everyone's concerned, Conan is just a little kid anyway...even to Ran. This is *extremely* frustrating to Conan since nobody will listen to a 'little boy'. In spite of this, Conan has a mission...to find the criminals who did this to him and get the antidote to that drug.

Yeah I agree thatv d. gray-man and soul eater are both interesting animes.
I was literally in the same situation you're in a few months ago. I randomly clicked a link to Code Geass on Youtube and was hooked into watching both seasons twice. I couldn't imagine any anime following it but someone suggested Death Note. Like you, I disliked it. I then went on an anime binge watching just about anything I could come across online. I burned through the Studio Ghibli collection, watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, Cowboy Bebop, Kurokami (made by the same studio as Code Geass). I'm watching the Rose of Versailles now and I've probably seen several other anime that aren't as memorable. My recommendation to you is don't take recommendation. Reviews on Youtube are helpful in deciding whether or not an anime is worth checking out but be sure not to take them at face value. Asides from a few of Ghibli's movies, I haven't found anything that really satisfied in the same way Code Geass did. I'm still looking though I have a feeling it could be in vain.

Edit: Oh yes, Rozen Maidens. Just because we all need more desu in our lives.
i think its better if u read detective conan

I guess that's a good idea, I'll start by watching stuff from the same studio as Code Geass and go from there. But yeah I know what you mean, I wasn't even that into watching anime till I saw Code Geass but damn it was good.
