I agree with you there, some dubs are awesome, and some are awful.
I've seen a bunch of great dubs, and I've seen some god-awful ones.
(Higurashi, Tokyo Mew Mew, Naruto.....)

I like dubs 3nodding I also like subs both are great
The dub for Haruhi spot on song translates and singing were great
The dub for Lucky Star spot on and they even put little title boxes for things they keep in, chan, and what not
The dub for Ouran spot on, title boxes on this to theu keep, Senpai in to
The dub for Negima! and Negima!? better then the Japanese because Negi and every one else has the British voice they should have

Ok, Code Geass's dub sucks a ton of stuff is missing from the Japanese to English translate

Bleach is good, they say everything right, the Spanish words are said right and so is the bount's German!

The english dubs are okay. But there are some i dont like. For example, The dub from One piece before, They had sanji's voice has a new yorker accent. lol But the new cast dubs of one piece now is alot better. biggrin

I always like dubs better, I find that people who watch anime with Japanese voices first don't like the dubs as much because thier used to the Japanese voices, Whenever I watch an anime with English voices then with Japanese I almost always tend to like the English one better.

And Japaneses people all sound the same with no real distinction in their voice. Some dub's are bad, but a lot are well done.

I think some are bad. Some are good. I do not say 'I like subs better' or anything. If I like it, I watch it. If I don't, that is it. It is not that hard.

Despite the fact that I personally prefer subs (Being as in Dubs scenes are often modified/omitted), I think that there are indeed some very good dubs around and see no reason why people should be so 'touchy' over the matter.

Don't like it? Don't watch it; simple.

Good, I thought it was just me, but I feel better knowing that I am not alone on this. I thought something was wrong when I heard Kenshin scream. Now I know the truth why.

Anyways, I mostly watch sub over dub not because I prefer subs, but because I have a hard time finding dub episodes. Both have their pros and cons, but if I have the choice, I usually try to watch dub series. Also, the Host Club dub is good! I don't know why people are complaining!

Anyway, I generally prefer watching stuff dubbed in English, 'cause sometimes I'm just too damn lazy to read.

The only beef I have with American voice acting is that sometimes the VA's are over-used and you get tired of them after a while. *cough*patrickwarburtonandgreydelisle*cough*

Agreed. I thought Wendy Lee did a good job singing the English version of both God Knows and Lost My Music. I thought the English cast was well-chosen for their roles. Even the original Japanese VAs thought that they were really good at the AX 07 SOS Brigade Invasion Tour.
