The funny thing is that almost every character in Inuyasha is a rehash of another one of Rumiko Takahashi's characters. (Don't get me wrong, I like the show and all . . . but still)

What other characters can be made by slightly altering other characters she's already used?

Actually, I'd say that Kuno is more the base for Miroku. They look sleightly similar and both have strange ideas about relationships. They also both use quotes out of context to justify their actions; just one uses Shakespere and the other uses buddhist proverbs.

But yeah, part of my dislike for Inuyasha stems from disappointment in the fact that she dropped the ball when making it. Pretty much all the jokes were used in Ranma, Maison Ikkoku, or Urusei Yatsura, with little to no alteration. The battles were far less detailed that in Ranma, and the characters are lifeless duplicates of previous stuff...

My opinion of the show would likely be better if it wasn't from someone I have higher expectations from.

There was a character in Ranma 1/2 who literally looked EXACTLY like Miroku. I think his name was Shinosuke. There was also a Kagome clone named Akari.

I dont know. I think the Inuyasha keeps the .5Woman. He can whine like a chick sometimes. And his temper reminds me of my aunt, whenever she's having PMS. sweatdrop

It's more a similarity in character design than personality, but I see a lot of Nabiki Tendo in Yura of the hair.

Yes and no. Sure she doesn't fly off the handle as often or as violently but I believe "sit" is pretty much equal to the hammer in terms of usage and the psychological impact (absolute terror).
