its still confusing to myself. i know he has chakra, otherwise he cant open up the inner gates, but its confusing that he has it and can stand on water for a long time, and hang upsaide down next to Tenten in that episode. but his chakra is limited...thats why he cant use jutsu and such, but why is he still able to hang upside down is a mystery to me too.
With regards to the run, it also makes you more maneuverable. It's hard to make a large sidestep when sprinting upright, but when crouched, the rest of your body is closer to your feet, making it easier to push yourself away.
you do not know how relieved i am to hear you just explaining the physical aspects of naruto... if this had been another "hey learn to do jutsu" thread then i would kill somebody... also interesting fact

Why not change the title to the science of anime?

There are plenty out there that use science, and its fun to know facts like that.

Amazing. I just did a Physics report on this. 3nodding . Everyone seemed to enjoy it since it was on ninjas. Nice facts - quite accurate if you ask me.
so they lean down but don't use their arms? is that even more effective? not using your arms?

oh, well, lol, i once saw a guy running straight up, with a minature parashoot on his back ^^
The parachute gives you more resistance. So if you run with them attached to you it makes you work harder to achieve the speeds you normally would. If you run that way for a while, you can increase how fast you run without the parachute. The resistance makes you move your legs faster and with more force so you can run faster.
