Umm Death Note, Ghost in the shell, any mecha series, and Moribito. Just because the fanbase can have a ton of underage crazies doesn't mean those series were for them.

Shounen anime are directed at teen boys, Seinen college and up men.

Shounen anime on AS = Death Note, Moribito, Inuyasha, DRRR!!, FMA/FMA:B, Kekkaishi, Blood+, Code Geass, Eureka Seven, Gigantor, Gundam, Evangelion, Samurai Champloo, S-cry-ed, and Yuyu Hakusho.

Seinen anime on AS= Ghost in the Shell, Outlaw Star, Wolf's Rain

...I rest my case. Adult Swim isn't a big Seinen fan. =_=

You really can't even count Outlaw Star as an anime on Adult Swim. While yes the show did air on Adult Swim it did not get a full run on the block and it was the same version that aired on Toonami. When they started their longer anime block they did not have enough less edited or Adult Swim ready anime so they filled the block with Toonami shows. Outlaw Star was one of them.

Really in my mind early Anime night on Adult Swim was more Toonami Midnight run with a few less edited shows later on and not actually adult swim and Outlaw Star never actually aired on Adult Swim. Had it been given the Big O treatment and been less edited for Adult Swim that would be different.

Either way, the demographic does not change. And I just went down Adult Swim's Wiki page to find listings. So this means they only had TWO seinen anime. =_=;

I saw it on Netflix a few days ago and was like "Oh I've heard of that, maybe I'll watch it sometime" and then added it to my instant queue. My mom apparently added Sgt.Frog too. .__.

I've never seen a full episode of the anime, but i read the entire manga. I loved it , it was so thrilling and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I have to say I think Johan was always my favorite, he was not only cute but he was quite the interesting villian .

I wanna read the manga T____T

You should if you ever get the chance, its really good. I enjoyed reading it and now hopefully I can watch the anime to see how much it differs from the manga. I only got to read the manga because my local library had it on their shelves.

One of the best series I read and watched. Total fan of NU works now.

I first saw it on TV, around episode...35? I was heavily interested. It was different than what I'm used to seeing (i.e Kawaii-desu s**t)

Indeed. I am still find it odd how it ended up on Syfy and not AS.

I think if it ended up on AS, the fans would murder the show.

Not really and I rather deal with batshit crazy fanbase if it meant that Viz gave us a complete DVD set. As it is now they still haven't done it because not enough people watched it. However it's on Hulu and Netflix.

I've seen the boxset for it a couple times on TV.
I have it on Netflix. I was soooo happy.

That boxset only has the first 20 or so episodes it's not a complete set.

Not really, in my opinion anyway. I believe it's underrated by many, but that too is okay.

This. I agree, it is underrated if anything. It is hardly even talked about much less hyped up.

Anyways, I love the series. I thought it was pretty good. Some of my favorite characters are Tenma, Nina and Johan. I disliked Eva. I didn't like her attitude and how she treated Tenma.

I am sad that the rest of the series probably won't be released, I got the first box set though. Shame.

I don't like subs because it means I have to read the subtitles.
I don't see what the big deal is with dubs though. I could honestly care less about the voices, UNLESS they are really REALLY bad. Like the redub of Kenshin. It was terrible.
I personally don't mind dubs. Makes it easier for me, even if companies keep reusing the same voice actors.
