Welcome to Gaia! ::

Staying up late just to watch this:

and then waking up earlier on Sundays' to watch this:

Luckily a few year later Cartoon Network would pick it up so then I too would run home to watch Sailor Moon and DBZ.
Hmmm
staying up to watch
Gundam wing uncut on sundays
and Cowboy Bebop
and sleeping on the bus on the way to
to school
Two things stood out in my earliest memory of anime. The Speed Racer Opening and a very low-rated anime movie which I forgot the title. Other influences were one episode of Dragonball, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon.

Probably all those Friday nights watching anime that was airing on YTV. I especially loved .hack//SIGN. So nostalgic.

- Watching Toonami every weeknight, often while playing with hotwheels.
- Watching Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh every weeknight and then pretending to go to bed.
- Being jealous of my nephews, whose parents let them buy Pokemon and YuGiOh cards.
- Staying up late on...Friday nights, I think, and watching Gundam and .Hack
- Watching Adult Swim on Saturday nights with the volume at unbearably low levels, so my parents didn't catch on to the fact that Inuyasha and Trigun and the like weren't G-rated.
- My secret collection of taped anime. I probably had around 100 VHS tapes and all of the labels were coded with symbols and numbers. Plus, I had a notebook detailing which show and which episode belonged to each symbol.

Back then, I hated how much I had to sneak around to watch most of my favorite series without my parents intervening. But it made for some really great memories. ♥

That's awesome. You were like, a little spy or somethin'. x )
Oh so many! When they had the final airing of Toonami I cried the whole time. Watching the first episode of Naruto and then explaining it to anyone who would listen. Coming home after school and watching Sailor Moon. Watching the last episodes of Cowboy Bebop and Wolfs Rain. Introducing my friends to anime and manga and reading Bleach out loud to my friends at school. Reading my first yaoi. Ah so many good memories smile thanks for this thread.
