I would say Magic Knight Rayearth, But Tenchi is really cool to get one of them

the movie or the volume for tenchi muyo?

If you get Tenchi (good stuff!) get either the first two movies (Tenchi Muyo! in Love andTenchi Muyo! in Love 2: Daughter of Darkness.) The third one (Tenchi Forever) is made by different people and it's not that great.

If you get a series, get the OVA. (OVA is original-to-video anime. It was never shown on TV or in theaters) or get the TV series Tenchi Universe. Avoid Tenchi in Tokyo like the plague.

you should go with what intrests you all we can do is sugest a show that we like but in the end its up to you to deside.

me personaly i like oh my goddess and kaleido star, ranma 1/2, record of lodosswar.
