I love the anime and manga both.
except i didn't like the ending of the anime, i heard someone say that there might be another season though, if thats the case i think they can make up for it.

its hard not to like a series with a sexy butler
I have finished the anime and am up to date with the manga. Personally, I do prefer the manga. However, I would not call the anime bad at all. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The ending was not bad. It was a very fitting and logical ending. The problem with the anime was the fact that it never really got to what the series was leading up to. It didn't make sense why the anime artist chose the bad guys that were chosen. It never answered who kidnapped Ciel or why either. Since Ciel is out to get the people that humiliated him, it seemed like we kind of needed that particular bit of information. But other than the inconsistencies, the anime was amazing. I loved the music, the art, the voices! The storyline was insane too. Not to mention that everyone was sexy as hell.

As for the manga. Woah, I don't know where to start. It blows me away. I would recommend that you watch the anime first and read the manga second. If you like one, you'll like the other.

i think that was one reason why i didnt like the anime [but it was good] was because they dont explain much. i wouldnt know what happened or understand it. because of that i prefer the manga, but yeah i agree anime is always first than manga second 3nodding
i haven't seen the anime sweatdrop
but i am reading the manga! 3nodding
KuroUsagi "Black Rabbit" Says

Well, they are both good, but the anime has way too many filler episodes (am I the only one who thinks so?). Though I still enjoyed it. I finished KuroShitsuji and KuroShitsuji II, though I must say that the ending of Kuro II pissed me off. =w=
I recomend the manga. Mangas are always better, and explain more. Alot more.

I like both. I don't think the anime had a bad ending at all. Did you even watch season 2? The manga was good as well. But I think I liked the anime just a bit more..

To smile happily ...

Both .♥

... I have forgotten.
Mmm, I prefer the manga, but I also like to see it in action. And I love Sebastian's voice in Japanese.
But yes, I'd say manga.
Both were pretty fine, but the manga had more details added into it.
I've only read 4 volumes since thats the only ones out in English atm, but judging from what I've read so far, the anime is better to me.

Really? I thought the anime ending was ******** amazing.
Prefer anime to the manga, actually, but the recent chapters have made me question how much longer that's going to be the case. c:
loved the anime, havent read much of the manga but i must say it is funnier than the anime. not quite sure which is better yet since i havent read all the manga, i didnt think the end was bad, now kuroshitsuji 2... i could of done without that series, had some nice moments, a few lulz but altogether not as good as the first series. Ciel is a million times more awesome than Alois; he brought it down with his emo whiny diva attitude. worth seeing though, but it cant hold a candle to the original series.

small spoiler for those who havent seen the second series below this sentence, it wont ruin the series for you but, just sayin, been given fair warning.

i love how the producers trolled everyone into thinking Ciel and Sebaschan weren't in the second series, they made the opening theme for the first episode not even have them in it XD so win
The manga is good, because you get more info on the characters.

But the anime is more exciting. Get to see sebastian(Sebas-chan!!! heart heart heart ) in action and Grell's persuasive ways. And you get to meet Alois Trancy who is not in the manga.
