The manga is waaaaaaaaay better, but the anime is getting a second season, but after how the first season ended, I don't know how they think they're going to continue it. I hope they try to do it like FMA Brotherhood though.

Its not the anime ending was bad per say, its just that it wasn't canon to the manga and was completely original to the anime. Thats why people dont like it. : / I personally think its an immature reason to not like an ending for a series you supposedly like so much. I mean, Fullmetal Alchemist is my second favorite anime of all time and I loved the first seasons ending because it WAS FMA. So it wasnt canon to the manga, so what?? That dosnt mean its not FMA - I think people just need to grow up.

It was an exciting ending, very thrilling and a very decent one considering the overall nature of the anime as a whole. I liked it and it certainly fit better, then, say, the ending for D.N.Angel. crying

I like both. Most of the anime hate stems from the fact that it doesn't follow the manga and original material was written. Oh, the anime takes a turn for the odd, but that doesn't mean that it's automatically bad, and I really enjoy listening to the voice actors and seeing the Kuroshitsuji characters animated.

As for the ending, I think it was fine. It wasn't quite as spectacular as I would've liked, but I'm pleased with the very last bit. I would've been extremely annoyed if there was a cop-out and the very last bit hasn't happened. If they don't repeat the ending of the first season at the end of the second, it'll be time to get out my angry face. And I'd put real money on the manga ending the same way.
