because the guys had nude people because it was in homage of the stuff done during the ancient Greece and roman times, and they're painting were suppose to taken in a none sexual manner. althought sex with children was nothing new during the Renaissance and ancient roman/greco times , but the standards have change and these artist draw these images to sexually entertain their veiwers not to be gazed in and to be awe-struck by it.
