Single DVDs are very pricey, and more expensive when you buy them from Funi. I buy Box Sets/Season to get a better deal, but sometimes it ain't that great of a deal.

Don't forget, the market for anime DVDs is a much smaller market then regular DVDs. The reason they cost a bit more is because they sell less copies. Besides, anime is pretty cheap these days. It used to be pretty brutal back in the 90's.

That's Why I Don't Buy It All At Once...

It's definitely not cheap, but it's not too expensive. The Japanese people need to make money, too, ya' know.

Sometimes you can buy seasons at Wal-mart. Like right now there's Bleach 1 and 2 for like 30$ each which is cheaper than the Fifty you spend else where

This is why I love Amazon.com. But you gotta be careful - I wound up with FMA in Japanese (with English subtitles, fortunately). Useful for learning some phrases - Gochisosama, hai? - but not for mindless viewing. Hai?

I guess it depends on where you go to buy it.

It's expensive, but it used to be a lot worse back when I was in middle school, so I guess I can't complain too much. Generally, I just wait for the whole boxset to come out because it's a better deal to buy them all at once.

That's what I like about companies like Funmation--I know they don't always find the best voices, but at least they let you sample the episodes on their website so you know just what you're getting into before you make a commitment to any price.

Yeah, see, that's why poor people like me have to watch it on tiny little online screen and tone out the concept of quality. Once you realise that you can use that money to buy like, food and s**t, you get over it.

Oh, and if you think about it, each episode is about 22 minutes. times that by 3 or 4... 1:06 or 1:28. Tnd most of them have at least 5 so like, 1:50. That's about that time of some movies... so really it's not that bad.

Nothing's impossible. Therefore, it must be possible for something to be impossible. But if nothing's impossible, then how is that possible?

It think the price is decent (especially since the market isn't as big as other dvds). It used to cost even more.

it is very expensive, especially on a student's budget. if only they would cut dvds down about $10 and manga by $5. now that would be alright i think.
