Sorry, I don't know of any good anime along those lines...

However, I did recently read a graphic novel (not manga-style, but still cool) called Blankets. It was probably the best romance story I've ever read. Remarkably accurate to real life, plus plenty of introspection, rumination about religion, and some goshdang cool art. Check it out if you feel like expanding your horizons.

xD Sorry, I wanted to help and it was the best thing I could think of. I FAIL.
Have you seen/read anything by Ken Akamatsu?

First I've heard of him..
Lovely Complex! XD

It's about a tall girl who likes a short guy. Sorry I couldn't give you a better explaination, but I'm feeling a little lazy. ^_^;

First I've heard of him..

Then I reccomend you check out Love Hina and Negima! They're both pretty light-hearted romantic comedies with male protagonists.

Love Hina is about about a college student who ends up becoming the manager of an all-girls dorm. Although he works towards his goal of getting into his dream university, the plot centralises around his relationships with the girls in the dorm. The girls get pretty violent towards him at times, which I find endlessly amusing xp

Negima! follows the adventures of a ten-year-old wizard striving to become a top mage. The romance and comedy start when his magic school assign him as a teacher in Japan...to a class of 13-year-old girls. hehe. I think that plot pretty much explains itself.

I hope that helps you out on your search!!

Ah! I completely forgot to mention Love Hina in my examples.. I was totally engrossed in that series for the longest time! I also saw some of Negima (one of my friend's favs), but I'm "worried" to get into it because I heard the end was so depressing.
um i think you should see DearS its has romance in it and has funny moments as well
Most of the anime I watch is shoujo so I'm thinking

Hana Yori Dango...maybe....

I know it has A LOT of romance but i'm thinking about the amount of humour.... this is probably more in the shoujo category (great series though!)

Like someone else mentioned, MARMALADE BOY! that one's great for romance and humour!

Ranma 1/2 => Martial artist, Ranma is engaged to 3 girls. He was raised in China as a martial artist by his father Genma but don't speak a word of Chinese. Ranma was originally engaged to his father's best friend's daughter, Akane Tendou. Ranma and Akane DO NOT get along AT ALL (at first). But later in the series, Ranma shows how affectionate he is towards Akane.

I also heard good things about Kimagure Orange Road tho!

I hope this helps sweatdrop
I personally love Fruits Basket. It has a nice blend of comedy, drama, and romance.
One anime I think would be good for you is Karin. It's about a vampire that does not suck blood but makes too much blood. A transfer student shows up and eventually finds out she's a vampire and is trusted by Karin's family to keep her secret. It's 26 episodes and with her deformation, strange love affair, and a family of vampire hunters after her it makes for a very good anime. The best place to watch it for free is Veoh.
