Yea like Naruto is the name of a whirlpool,the symbol on the ninja headband of the leaf village is the Naruto(the whirlpool)'s symbol,and Naruto is a rice cake that is eatin on the anime.Weird huh?

Inuyasha translates as simply "Dog Demon"

As for the naming sceme...It makes sense, making the name have meaning, as apposed to just pulling something out of thin air. mrgreen

I have too, like Hikari (her name changed to Kari) from Digimon means light, and Nauto means a type of fish patty
 
     
Everyone loves the crow or the raven because they are dark and mysteriouse and resemble death. I love the Magpie because it IS dark, but different and still has light in it's heart. Just because Im not a crow doesnt mean Im not dark.

Actually Inu means dog in Japanese for Inuyasha's name. Peace, Love, Chicken, Tapioca Everyone. biggrin xd biggrin xp


Yeah. But it's the -yasha part that apparently refers to female demons.

Pfft... Is there something that Inuyasha isn't telling us? rofl

yasha=demon

Have you ever noticed that the characters in anime often have names that pertain directly to what the whole anime series is about like...for example
Nami(from One Piece) "Nami" means "wave" in japanese, wave.....pirates....the ocean...anyone but me see a connection? hmm? question

I agree that is quit weird confused

You know, I've always heard that the 'Yasha' in 'Inu-yasha' meant something along the lines 'forest spirit.' But anyway they do it on purpose. Though I don't know how a weasel has anything to do with the Naruto series....
