Welcome to Gaia! ::

Have you ever noticed that the characters in anime often have names that pertain directly to what the whole anime series is about like...for example
Nami(from One Piece) "Nami" means "wave" in japanese, wave.....pirates....the ocean...anyone but me see a connection? hmm? question
Yes, it's also true in Magic Knights Rayearth. The girls' full names relate to their respective element.
I have noticed the InuYasha means female dog demon *laughs* lol
Its a marketing scheme! Makes people feel they know more about the anime if they know what the names mean, nothing like being shot down because you are to stupid to know Tien does not only mean Flower, but is also Chinese. Yeah... I was shot down!
Lol. I've noticed that before. I think they just put it there because they don't know what to name the characters other than what they are in Japanese.

yea makes me wonder why the creator of DBZ made everyone name refer to food of some sort....hehe food obsession xp
hmmm name meanings aren't too widely known only very few people put thought into names other than what rolls off the tongue nicely, but I guess there is some covert scheme of anime creators to help their readers egos by them thinking they are so smart for knowing meanings...*shrug* my name just means "she is approved"(not Riaji...tho)
I thought it was kind of neat but in the end song of the first series of InuYasha, They show a flower and a Yin-Yang next to each other. Kikyo's name means "Bell Flower" while Kagome's name means "Woven Bamboo Pattern" which has something to do with the principals of Yin-Yang.
I no Kagome means Reencarnation!!!
Sorry, that's what I heard....Sigh, you're probably right.

Yeah. But it's the -yasha part that apparently refers to female demons.
