Now. Don't go hating on me. The anime is a masterpiece. But that ending was s**t. Let's just face it.

Simon's brotherly best friend died
Simon's comrades died (half of them)
Simon's love died, RIGHT AFTER THEY GOT MARRIED

An then worst of all:

Simon ends up as a nameless man, not remembered as a hero
After his marriage, he quit Dai Gurren
Kiyoh, Kinon, & Kiyal grieving over their brother, Kittan
Leite grieving over her husband, Makken (he was a minor character, but they had kids...)
Yoko ended up as an old school principal

Like, what the ********? I enjoyed the adventure, even after Kamina died, final battle was EPIC, but the ending ripped my heart out.

I'd like to see an OVA, or a re-telling anime. In this, Kamina would live. Him & Yoko would get together. Nia would survive. Kittan would survive.

It'd be awesome if, instead of dying, Kamina goes into a coma. And that coma makes Simon stronger.

Part of me doesn't like Yoko as a teacher. If Kamina lived, I could not see him in a school lol. Once a warrior, always a warrior.

Gurren Lagann was nice but it really doesn't need a remake or anything of the sort. It was certainly fun to watch back then but let it remain a memory and move on. Hardly anyone gives that much of a ******** about this anime anymore.

I was pretty satisfied, and I don't really want a continuation of the story, I think it wrapped itself up pretty well and anything further would just kinda feel drawn out...except for the OVA episode, I really hope it's a beach episode and everyone wears scuba suits.

Your just gonna have to take it as it is. A lot of s**t doesn't get remade no matter how worthy they are.

I liked the series and the ending the way it was. It ended the way it should have.

If a remake happens, Simon should die in it near the end in battle. Everything else should continue the exact same.

It's not a good story unless the hero dies.

I don't see why nobody realizes he was an a*****e. Yes, he had charisma and cool one liners, but he was still an a**. He definitely was not fit to lead the Gurren Brigade with his philosophy of "if you bash your head against a wall hard enough, eventually the wall will crumble."
