Nothing's wrong with it. Although I do think CN overplays it just a bit ^^;; I'm just using it as an example. I could just have easily said Scooby Doo. Or Baby Looney Toons.

Not so. CN started becoming a competitor once they made their own cartoons instead of showing old, recycled ones.

To be honest, I'd rather go without and not know what I'm missing, than to watch some watered down, edited version of a good show. Otherwise, I'd always be thinking, "I wonder what I missed"?

No, they don't. They could air any one of hundreds of animated series.

The shows also aren't made out of the kindness of the artists' or original Japanese production comapnies' hearts. That doesn't mean that the people involved (CN, artists, Japanese companies all) don't enjoy doing what they do.

And as Mireo already stated . . . CN didn't need Japanese anime to compete. They were doing just fine with their original series.
