Fushigi Yugi takes place in fictional China.
It's Record of Lodoss War.
Record of Lodoss war had nothing at all to do with Vandread.
(Other than putting me to sleep.)

Mech/Scifi/ psychological or War/Psychological/action . I also like Comedy/slice of life if done right . On occasions i do like Romance as long as giant robots are involved or any action.

Indeed an awesome thread idea, OP, I congratulate you for that.
I voted for Slice of Life but only because Comedy has many different styles. For example, you call Naruto, Bleach and Senyuu all comedy, when Senyuu is basically nothing but comedy, while Naruto and Bleach have fight and stuff like that too.

I don't really have a favorite myself, but I had to vote Lain just because I own it and it is my favorite by far. xd
