I will ride Shaft (hah puns) until the end of time. The art in the Monogatari series sealed the deal for me.
I also enjoy I.G. every since Psycho-Pass and Diamond no Ace came about.

this is pretty hard to decide for me because most of each studios' works are hits and misses for me.

but i guess right now absolutely LOVE Madhouse. special mentions to ufotable for the amazing fate/ adaptations, ghibli for amazing work all throughout the years, and brains base.

i will never give a s**t about kyoani

Gonzo. They didn't just animate, they tried to be innovative. Gainax might have wild action and Kyoani might have a very smooth. fluid style, but they feel like one trick ponies.

Gainax made Gankutsuou, which head a very unique but eye catching aesthetic. They made Red Garden, with musical moments that were animated after voiceovers. They made Kaleido Star which had some beautiful choreography. Plus while there was nothing too terribly unique about the animation, Last Exile and Speed Grapher were pretty great, and I loved their originality.
