I agree that there are some people that aren't experienced with the Anime world, but they can learn someday adn just leave them alone with them actually thinking they know everything.

*blinks*......more? sweatdrop usually im too focused on my Inuyasha books that i dont really read the other titles (too busy muttering about darn people in book store not carrying my favs...) but since you guys mentioned it...I should really read some more of those mangas! Im just a little bit imature so i sway away from things with mudity and explicit scenes but i LOVE blood, gore, and fighting! And humor too! The fact that my friends got me hooked on anime/manga then said it 'was for kids' and that 'i should stop reading it'. In fact, one of them even threatened to rip my manga apart because i was reading it too much sweatdrop but i fixed that! biggrin It does make me sad that people get so wound up about anime then say its immature (when really, its not!) but still say that some characters are hot (mutters numerous names). Anyways, thanks for making me interested in reading more titles! Have fun battling your never ending battle against the -shudders- bad fanpeople! Im just gonna be me and ignore it like i do a whole bunch of things.

It's because of those "fly by" fans that make us true fans...ostracized.

Anime and manga ARE for everyone. I try to not be the typical fan. I do like *gasp* some comics (mostly webcomics, since there aren't any good comic stores near my house, but I love the Serenity comics), and I don't like too much mainstream things. I go for the more guilty pleasure anime, like Shoujo. I like some action/adventure stuff, though, and some comedy...

im personally an Otaku (anime freak). it drives me crazy how a lot of people wont read or watch anime/manga, because its animated, and 'that means its for kids'. ok, newsflash, stuff for kids, doesnt have bare boobies in it. lol. im mostly a manga fan though, they get more in depth with the story normally.

I understand how you feel--the same happens with Invader Zim fans (I am one), in which there are people out there who only like the show because of Gir. It gets very annoying. But I guess its just a way of life, people just want to feel superior to others, even if theyre not as well-informed. Itd be nice if that werent the case, and those people wouldnt act like theyre the biggest otaku of them all, but I guess it cant be helped.

Though talking about "those stupid anime noobs" makes me feel a little like we think we know it all...Cant we all just get along?

"Otaku" is not a good thing. Japan's standards for what's okay for children to see is different, and boobs are okay, and finally, what the heck are yuo saying "yes" in German for?

No. It really wasn't.

Wow. You truly know nothing. In the japanese version, most of the girl cards had little or no clothing. Also, when making the transition, a lot of cursing and blood/violence have been cut.

They even make a middle finger-flick into an angry fist shake.

check your self and the manga books plus the rating most are marture so no matter what you say people all ages like manga for instance i know o 50 year old who loves anime so anime is for everyone
