Hello.
Now a days if I go on any site with anime I always find the anime no one wants to watch. This got me thinking. Why do we push theses anime away from the main stream groups? This has been going on for a long time but I never saw any of this until recently. Are we just pushing away the "Bad" shows or are we just pushing away stuff that is diffrent? I see show that are very interesting a fun to watch but the're being left in the dust. The easist show to talk about for me is Towards The Terra.

Towards The Terra is about these people called Mu who have the power to speak telpathicly and other have some othre si-fi like ablitys. They are not living in peace no they are being hunted by a robot AI that controls most to all of humanity. I think this is a good back story and that it has a very serious topic to cover. Thats not all the information. There is this kid named Jommy (I hope to god I'm spelling that right) who is getting out of his regular school as every kid does when they turn 13. On every kids 13th birthday they get their minds of everything that is not educational. One of the Mu named Blue saves Jommy and tells him he is a mu. Then the story delves in from there.

This show was nice and I watched it and wished for a second season but it didnt do well. Why was that? This was a reboot or something along those lines and there was a movie trailer on youtube so why? I dont know how bad it did but I do know that unless you are an hardcore otaku you may never hear about this show an I know that there is other shows out like this.

My question remains the same. Have you watched an under rated anime an if so what was it? This is all your opinions so feel free to say it here. But I ask if its not nice please dont say it at all.

PS. I'm not limiting it to Towards The Terra. Thats just a under rated show I know that I have watched and needs to talked about even if Im the only one talking about it. dramallama

I don't really care how it's rated, I just watch what I feel I'll be interested in, no matter if it's a really popular and over-hyped thing or something barely anyone mentions.

Alien Cosmonaut

I've grown to dislike modern anime and popular shows due to peers over-hyping them and making me always getting excited for them until I realize I hate the shows. neutral I prefer to watch really obscure 20th century anime hardly anyone's watched because then no one can ruin it for me.

A really great underrated anime is Birdy The Mighty Decode. Came out in 2008 wasn't given much thought but man people are missing out. The premise "Birdy the Mighty: Decode starts when Birdy secretly entered Earth to track down an alien criminal named Geega as an Earth Federation police officer. In the midst of her work, she accidentally kills a Japanes boy named Senkawa Tsutomu. To save his life, Birdy merges her body with his.
As the two work together on maintaining their lives, a mysterious person wishes to uses the Ryunka in order to commit genocide on the entire Earth."

Its really good. The first season focuses on Tsutomu the second season focuses on Birdy. The best part theres no ridiculous love between the 2 they just become friends who share a body.

Tipsy Prophet

I don't know, I don't pay that much attention to how popular shows are. I'm not even sure if the so-called "Big 3" are still popular anymore.

Manly Man-Lover

I really don't pay attention to lists or anything, so I might. Pretty much, I go with series that I'm interested in. I just watched the first episode of Persona 4 the Golden Animation. It was alright, but I'm mostly in it to see how this "playthrough" is going to differ from the first series about 3 years ago (I still don't know why I feel it's been less than that). I know that here, a few people have groaned over remaking something that hasn't been out that long and I'm not sure why they're doing a full season. In the end, as someone who has played Golden 3 times and the original game at least 4 times, I'm merely thinking of this as another playthrough instead of a new season.

I'm sure there are several things I have that aren't cheered as a great, must-watch series.
sometimes I guess.

I enjoy things that live in the shadows of the much larger mainstream shows.

Like, there's this one called Utawarerumono (Yeah, I know, right? )

Anyway, there's this guy who wakes up in an unknown village with his memory completely gone, and a mysterious mask on his face that can't be removed. He feels indebted to the people who helped him, and befriends everyone in the village.

But one thing leads to another (watch the show to find out), and he ends up in a bunch of wars, all waged to protect those he loves.

It's one of those One-shot-season shows that only has 26 episodes, but they're freaking awesome to watch.

Golden Spark

Not really, no.
I will try any anime and give it a 3-episode treatment regardless of popularity or anyone's opinion at least.

Most shows in japan run normally from 12 to 26 episodes.
The one season was all it was supposed to have.
The anime was all in all good, but I wish they would have put a lot more sex in it.
Considering it's based on a game that might as well just have been porn, I felt a little let down.
