i love all forms of art ive been interasted in it since i was 4 or 5, anime is number one on my list right now,who knows it might just be a passing trend and every one on gaia will migrate to pog art or somthing,

I'd be about 67. I really don't know. No one knows what will happen in 50 years.

I've actually been starting to get off of anime lately. I'm getting into more hobbies. I like sports (mostly American football right now), cars, video games, math (nerd :B ), science (mega-nerd :BB ), music, art, technology, ect.

I can almost be certain that I won't like anime that much in 50 years. I'll be married, have kids, grandkids, and if the same happens with me as my grandma, great grandkids.

I plan to have a career in medicine, I can't let something like cartoons distract me. It pains me to say it, but I might even have to give up Spider-Man and my dream of conducting one of my friends funerals (I want strippers, a disco ball, and a clown at that funeral biggrin !) if I wanna get into med school!

Well, only God knows if I'll even be alive in 50 years. I hope I am. If I am, then I doubt it. Anime is starting to suck. If it keeps going downhill then I might join an "anti-anime" movement.

All in all, it's only a hobby and if I don't like it in the future then I just plain don't. I might give it up as soon as I have kids though. I don't want my kids growing up calling themselves "otaku" or having my daughter liking yaoi. I also don't want my son looking as hentai. I'm going to raise my son the way my mom does with my brother: I don't care how much porn that kid will look at, as long as he doesn't get anyone pregnant.

Back to the topic, I don't know. biggrin

eh, it's hard to say where I will be in 50 years so who knows but honestly, I don't see myself not watching anime anytime soon sooooo might as well assume that I will be razz .

Well I can't really say for sure, but I think I very well might be. It's interesting to me, has already held my attention for this long, and has had a large impact on my life already. I met my first girlfriend because of anime, as well as my current boyfriend and soon to be husband.

So, if I ever did louse interest I can at least say that I would still think about it with fond memories.

I may not like the new anime. But I will always watch my over-watched DVDs of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

But 50 years is pointless since the world begins to end in 5 years(2012) and then should be completely ended around, eh, maybe 2030. At least for humans anyway.

Hearing everyone's comments has given me a lot of incite as to how everyone views anime, whether it be a hobby or an infinite source of love.

I'm really glad I could get so many answers...of course I don't want this post to die off somewhere because I know there are still so many voices...like...billions of unheard voices with their own individual things to say.

As for me, I love anime. True, I don't watch enough of it...don't have the time nor the money but it's a definite love affair of its own.

I hope to continue to live with this love of anime and hopefully not get abducted by aliens or die from air pollution or something...

But that's just my take on it...

Now, I'm sure I'll be liking it until I'm in the late 20s, but after that, not as much as I love it now.
