It's always bothered me...

How do some people get so affected by anime and yet others find that they can't stand it or find it too boring?

Is it because there are few in America willing to become cultured or is it because of something deeper?

Give me your opinions...nicely please.

As far as i can remember i watched cartoons/anime and im about to reach 25 and the passion is still there.

Animation is part of me as much as a person that played whit lego blocks as a kid who builds real buildings as an adult.

I'll be 67 in 50 years... I honestly don't think I'll still love anime. I might want to get my grandkids into it, but you won't see me cosplaying or buying manga at the local bookstore.

They might come out with a new "fad" in 50 years... like carpets that magically erase wine spills or something.

I'm still young...I'm 17 and I've been watching it since I was 9. I was just wondering because a lot of my friends I used to play with around that age loved Pokemon. A LOT of people in my grade used to love Pokemon (we even got playing cards banned PERIOD from our school district because of it!) but now I and about maybe 15 people total in my grade have anything to do with anime.

It's just weird...><
