Sasuke did kill Itachi but there is only two reasons why he won
1. Itachi over used his sharingan causing him to loose sight. 2. He really never tried to kill Sasuke. He actually did cared for his little brother. P.S. Go watch Naruto manga 390-399 in youtube.com then you'll understand. Itachi is the nice one! xd That damn emo muffin deserves to die or at least get beaten senseless! twisted JK xp |

Itachi had suffered previous fatal injuries before the fight began and was handicapped due to that. Sasuke could never beat Itachi.
Not only was Itachi exhausted before his final battle but he still had the power and chakra to finish off Sasuke with his finishing . . . whatever that big summoning jutsu was. But instead, knowing he was going to die soon anyways, used his remaining chakra to transfer his knowledge on the sharingan to his younger brother as a last resort I reckon. |

Sasuke has already won the battle with Itachi, only for itachi was holding back, and his body condition wasn't the best, but whatever... Sasuke has gotten strong, but eh... He still sucks compared to many.

I havent seen tht far, but i hear Itachi does die, and i hear its only cuz he was weakened and holding bak, i think tht if Itachi were to hav gone full force, then sasuke would be kiled three times over. the point is Itachi is seven millon times stronger thn his little bro, and it must hav been something tht Itachi deep down wanted to hav lost to sasuke(y i dont know, but...) ninja
