I dunno man, we got Shin Mazinger last season, and it was totally awesome. I mean, it's totally worth mining the past, but you've gotta give the new stuff a chance. Ignoring the fact that the fall season is totally balls. Seriously, what the ******** Japan? No mecha?
I used to love Mechs, but nowadays people want a boring overly emotional, overwritten story that makes anything made by Hideo Kojima somewhat understandable by someone who isn't a fanatic of things he's made. I love old mecha, new mecha (95 to now) are just emo pieces of crap usually, there may be some greats among them, but for the most part they can get overly emotional, and if I wanted emotional BS with my mechs, I'd have two TVs, one playing a crappy soap opera the other playing Mazinger and try to watch both at once. But knowing me I'd just mute one TV and watch the other one instead.
