No, because it will never be as 'popular' as Naruto.
Its popularity has been decreasing...at least for the people here where I live.
Besides, Naruto is still going strong and showing no signs of ending any time soon yet, while D. Gray-Man seems to be closing in on the ending...unless the artist somehow finds a way to drag the story on even more than it is already.

It doesn't matter what the new of anything is, D-Greyman is a good manga and good story in my opinion and wouldn't see it any other way.

Oh yeah, the closest thing that it got to get to Naruto was the first chapters of the manga. They were the best...I stopped watching the anime after Crowley appeared, the fillers were crap, and how they drew Allen sucked, effects horrible, although when you first see it you think, "This has the style of Fullmetal Alchemist, coloring wise, cool."

Personally for me, the whole series died after they hit that arc where Allen turned into the Crowned Clown. And I used to be a big fan, way before the anime ever came out, I used to write chapter and episode summaries, then they had to kill everyone and make the chapters sucky too...It's not going to be as big as Naruto, last time I checked it's not even going to have more than 60 episodes either... <3

Nah, I really doubt D.Gray-man will get close to ever being as popular as Naruto is. Sure, it's a great series and more people are getting into it, but it's not going to probably hit it that big. That's a good thing if you ask me, I'd hate to see any D.Gray-mantards.
