Manga and Anime are both made for entertainment, regardless of age. If D. Grayman or Death Note or whatever Manga or Anime comes out and is really that good then no offspring of goats can/will ruin them.

It'll have to be dubbed and aired on American Television before it can gain the sheer size of the Naruto fanbase.

I'm part of both fandoms, so I'm indifferent to it all. If anything, it just means that I'll get to buy and obsess over the new merchandise that will spawn from it's popularity.

It's got the makings to be a really popular series - definitely on the levels of Naruto and FMA. There's already an abundance of D.Gray-Man Yaoi-ers. It's already got slash and about five different males going for the lead female.

Though, I must admit. I don't really want it to become too popular. I like the D.Gray-Man fandom how it is. I think it's a perfect size.

I admit, it would be nice to have more DGM fans, since that would mean more fanworks. But I'd rather it not grow to the extent of Naruto's fanbase. That's just a little too much. ^^;;;

How is Death Note the new Naruto? Death Note has so much more to it!! Its way better then a lame ninja anime. And D.Gray Man is different then FMA its Noah's and Akumas not soldiers and hommunculos. D.Gray Man is awesome and way better then Naruto, its already got a large fanbase for those who either read the manga or watch the anime subbed.
