Ok...it's a tie between Edward Elric and Light Yagami and L, Mello and Matt

Ed's death was sad but then he came back to life so...yeyz ^^

L's death is so sad crying volume 7 was the first DN manga I bought and he dies...I was like "Omg! wtf! domokun "

Mello's death was unexpected....just when I started liking him too T^T

Matt's death was also unexpected...T^T

Light's death...omg...I couldn't stop laughing XD .....

........

Ok...Light's death was the best XD rofl
I personally loved the scene in Scrapped princess, toward the very end, when Pacifiqua dies, and her death, so long awaited by the peacemakers and that the PRovidence Breakers wanted to delay is finally the answer they have been searching for...

It's sad, because she want to live, and she is killed by her true brother, who love her but try to do the greater good, and suicide himself after, the reactions of the others characters are perfect for me, from her sister and brother in law to all secondary character presents.

And i love how her death wasn't only treated as a -death- but as a realisation in the anime...

Well, that's it...

Oh right i klove Goku's death in dragon ball ! wehen he's resurected for the 1832726th time ! Nono, i joke about this one :p
Personally I think Saya's (Black Cat) death was the best. In the manga at least. The anime one just sucked.

They totally ruined Saya's personality. "I... just wanted some lamune..." Who actually says that before dying? The anime version of Saya really sucked. Actually the whole anime was bad compared to the manga. eek

L from Deathnote.
i found the death of kenshin at the end of the "rurouni kenshin reflection" (seisouhen) to be kinda touching.

Kikyo's actual death (in manga) was awesome! I was happy when she died (can you tell I hate her?).

Many deaths brought me to tears. Maes Hughes, Wolf's Rain, L, Chrono and Rosette, too many to place here.

Wolf's rain. I cried like an infant the first time I saw it.

And the second time a little.

Same.
When Haku and Zabuza died in Naruto. That whole story was sad....

I BAWLED at the end of Wolf's Rain. I was in public and everything. DX

OMG Thats part made me cry like i have never cry before, it was super sad
i think death note is the only anime with the most deaths in it so it would have to be one of those deaths
Well, if anything, L's death was well done. When he died, you were a bit too shocked (and snickering at Light's success as well) to feel sad, and when I saw that scene, I couldn't help but grin and think "Light, you sneaky bast*rd"
