If vegeta doesn't know who is light, Vegeta Dead. if he know : Vegeta doesn't need 40 seconds to kill light, he'll kill light even before he can lay a finger on death note. Light dead. As for Kenpachi, he has already dead in the begining.

Ok, here is how the fight goes on:
- Yagami writes Kenpchi's and Vegeta's name in his book (well, depending whether Vegeta knows what he is doing or not, Yagami might have die in the process - 40+ sec is enough to blast off his head) => Vegeta dies, but because Ken-chan is already dead so he cannot die => with this he can esily take out Yagami (another fctor is whether he WANTS to kill him, because I don't think tht he is interested in such a weak-fry)
- because Vegeta is dead, now he can fight Kenpachi (who would also fight him, for sure) and most likely he could beat him (well, there is another factor, because if Ken-chan wants to fight Vegeta, he would surely go to look for him, and with this, they'll never meet smile )
- oh and one other thing: Vegeta might go to hell and so they would be in complete different dimension, and there is no winner between them (however if Light dies he would go to hell for sure, and you dont wanna know what an angry revenge-thirsty Vegeta can do there...)

Let me explain why that would fail.
1. Vageta is not human.
2. How would Light get either of their names before being kill.
3. YOU CAN'T ******** KILL SOMEONE WHO IS DEAD.
4. If he kills Vageta, he will just come back. He's from DBZ after all.


And for anyone who thinks Kenpachi would win. Vageta has died before, they all have. I doubt getting to the soul society would be hard.

And if you want the fight to take place on earth Kenpachi would have to become a physical manifestation in order to even attack Vageta.

1.It doesnt really count whether you are human or not. If you have a name and face, you can kill everybody (the problem might be, that we don't know whether Vegeta has a surname, because if he does, than thats a problem)
2- if he is far away from them, or if they don't know his intentions (you must agree, tht neither of them is really cautious and besides what could be wrong bout writing 2 names in book?). Also if Light could make them wait 40 secs they are dead (and well, non of them are really smart and they also are really reckless, so I think light could trick them easily. Eg: "Oh, for me to become strong, I have to meditate for about 1 minute. Would you wait?" Both Vegeta and Kenpchi likes to fight strong opponents that much tht they would surely wait). Also they look down on weaklings and might not fnd Light worthy to kill and go on aginst each other => perfect time to write to particular names in a particular note
4 - that's true, but coming bck tkes time (and also is not avaible after the GT saga...)

+1 actually it is hard: you have to find (and not kill) a shinigami who takes you there BEFORE turning into a hollow and losing your mind... Also it's interesting how strong Vegeta as a hollow would be...

Vegeta can and has reached SSJ4. Alright.

Now while I'm not sure what Kenpachi can do, I know for a fact that Light stands just as much a chance in this fight as any other average human being would without any super powers.

I agree with you fully on this, but there's a problem: GT isn't canon. In Raging Blast, Vegeta can go SSJ3, which I can accept. But then again, Akira Toriyama designed the SSJ4 form, so maybe that level of Super Saiyan is canon.

of course this will go over sum of you's heads as you just seem to support kenpachi for his 'coolness factor'.

Umm the only DBZ character i remember ever drawing energy from people was Goku for spirit bomb... and they had to give that willingly... Also... Kenpachi ISNT made of spirit particles, the soul society is stare Thats why the bounts didnt just absorb the soul reapers

Well, thats not really true: soul reapers are made of spirit particles, but only the way humans are made from (normal) particles. And yes, the bouts could have absorbed them but only as they did with the humans (~like vampires)... however Vegeta (just like Shinigami) can only control his OWN ki

ok, I might have screwed up the name because I'm not such a huge Death Note fan (I only saw it dubbed and there it said "everybody" not "every human", sorry). However that's not so clear, because in Death Note there are only humans (and shinigamis), so "human" can mean "everybody living" aswell...
Also Yagami is clever enough to get the names. Especially in Vegeta's case he doesn't even have to ask, because he is so full of himself that he introduces himself to every opponent, and I don't think that Kenpachi would reject telling his name either.
However now I came up with another problem: Kenpachi's name is given, and surely not his real name - altough it doesn't counts because he cannot be killed with Death Note anyway
I never said that Vegeta couldnt see Kenpachi and I also emphasised (sorry I might not been that clear with "he" wink that he would beat him in a fight. However there is no need to wish him alive and I'm pretty sure tht by asking up physichal form (gigai) your power level fells drstically, especially with kenpachi.
BUT: Even in DBZ, you cannot leave hell, only by resurrection. (Or by some huge scale action, for what only mad scientist or catastrophes could do, but not Vegeta)
Also if you're killed with Death Note, you cannot enter her/heaven than it's the same situation as by going to hell: 3 different dimensions => draw

I think it's already been pretty well established that Light's Death Note would be no use against a different flavor of shinigami and a saiyan (with this in mind though-- if saiyans and other creatures existed in Ohba's world, don't you think he would have made the note apply to them as well? I mean, it is sort of unfair to pit them against each other when mythical... whatevers like a saiyan wouldn't exist in Light's world because it's supposed to be sort of realistic apart from the shinigami.)

Anyway... as for Vegeta vs. Kenpachi... To be honest I was never a big DBZ fan *hides from crazy fans*, but I'm sure Vegeta wouldn't just fall over and die. People from both series have a tendancy to keep coming back after they've been defeated and they both also have random powerups that show up (almost) exactly when they need them. So really, it's anyone's game. Taking into account that this would take place in the shinigami realm where they can both physically hurt each other that is.

I will say this though... If by some insane miracle Kenpachi actually wises up and makes a connection with his sword and achieves bankai... EVERYONE is screwed. rofl

I will not comment on Light due to I have never actually read Death Note.


But has no one actually notice that Kenpachi has never actually taken a fight seriously? He's never realised his full power in the Mangas ever... (And has never released his Bankai, Miracles can happen)

Because Kenpachi doesn't just have a limiter on him (Due to being a Captain), but also he covers up his eye to reduce his powers as well (He was still limited when fighting Ichigo for the first time).

It also all depends on where they are fighting.

But, I still am leaning towards Vegeta, Kenpachi is too direct to fight Vegeta. A person more LIKELY to defeat Vegeta would be 1st Captain Shigekuni (Also never seen full strength), 12th Captain Kurotsuchi with his poisons possibly could too and Hell Ichigo probably has a chance too (Though he is direct like Kenpachi).

I'd like to think lieutenant Kira would have a decent chance too (With his Wieght increasing Abilities).
