Depends on the series.

Tsubasa RESERVior CHRoNiCLE is gold as a manga, but s**t as an anime.

The same goes for series like Wolf's Rain, only vice versa.

Then there are series, such as Fullmetal Alchemist, that are awesome both as a manga and an anime.

Manga is better but personally i enjoy both about the same...the manga usually actually finishes the story though while the anime doesn't always finish it.

Its diffrent...

I prefer manga. I'm very disapointed that I can't find the anime for Kitchen Princess (yes, the name sounds wimpy but it's a good manga)!!

I read a lot of different manga and I like the artwork a lot better in the books rather than some of the crappy designs on the anime(im not saying all anime art is bad). Plus when someone screams, you don't have to listen to it on the tv.

That's a horrible analogy.

First of all, comics are nothing like novels.

And secondly, there's plenty of amazing anime which is not based off any manga.

both.. the manga is usually better but somedays the anime is better when u don't feel like reading

Its really hard to decide. Anime is good for fight scenes and manga are good for stories. crying
