It depends on the series really. Although I usually go with the Manga.

manga is always better. in some anime, they cut out some parts from the manga series.

It completely depends on what it is.

I probably prefer the anime for say, Detective Conan, but only for different parts. Since for me, looking at the black and white can burn my eyes after awhile, so I like color and action. Even though there are both a manga and an anime for it. I think that the drawings are much better in the manga though.

Both have different qualities to them. And if there are two for the same thing (like Detective Conan) they sometimes have a slightly different plot. (like Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne) I prefer the manga in some parts, and the anime for others.

most of the time in the anime they expend almost everything and they make fillers. but i like them both

Anime's base belong to the manga, you can take it everywhere you want and it's wat shorter than anime so you can read several chapters in one day so yeah, I'd say manga.
I like to see my fav. characters with colour and talking though. . .
