Hmm, my opinion on this:

I am basically heterosexual but I wouldn't really let gender get in the way of love.
My best friend is homosexual.
I am not a homophobic.
I don't mind Yaoi/Shonen Ai or Yuri/Shojo Ai.
If two guys want to have sex let them do it just not in front of me.
I hate any type of porn/hentai.
I support homosexual marriage.


But what I hate is that fan girls pair up two impossible pairings. I don't believe in Kurama/Hiei, they're just friends, but it is way more possible that Yusuke/Kuwabara, that'll never happen, girls, Yusuke is in love with Keiko, no?

As long as the pairing can be believable, then I'll probably like it. And any good author can make virtually any pairing believable. Sadly, good authors are lacking, instead we get OMG!!KURAMA AND HIEI ARE SO KYUTE 2GETHER!! LOL!!!

(And I may be a girl, I may occasionally put two straight characters together, but I DON'T consider myself a fangirl).

You obviously don't ******** pay attention. The problem is that it's in threads where it doesn't belong! There might be a thread about your favorite Yu Yu Hakusho fight, and BAM, a fangirl spews about drooling over Kurama and Hiei! I might be looking through a Harry Potter thread about Prisoner of Azkaband, and BAM, there's a fangirl talking about Black and Lupin as if they'd made out the in the movie. It's WRONG and it's time for these girls to leave this s**t in their heads. I could care less if they think it, I'm tired of seeing it!

You know, this really isn't going to help matters, besides upsetting some obsessed yaoi fangirls (and for the record, not ONLY girls are fans of yaoi).

But, I do see what you're trying to point out here. I think the yaoi fans just need to keep to their own community, it's what I do.
I don't try to force people to like it, I don't talk about it where it's got no business....

Unfortunately, not everyone is like me. And there's nothing anyone can do about it.

But honestly, pairings such as Snape/Harry can make a lot of sense if you really work it out well enough. It'd be a twisted relationship, no less, but still quite possible.

I think that, since the yaoi community is growing larger and larger, you're going to have to try and ignore the occasional classic "OMG Kurama and Hiei are so cute together!!!" fangirl comment, or you'll drive yourself insane.

I don't blame anyone for getting upset if they happened to come across a typical yaoi fangirl comment where it's got no business to be, but honestly it's easy to ignore such pointless posts.

Alright, first off, I agree with the comments where they have no right to be. After all, if you're trying to have a serious discussion about something, and someone comes in with the yaoi comment it can be annoying. HOWEVER... I like the Hiei/Kurama pairing, Hell, I like the Black/Lupin and Harry/Draco pairings too. However, exept in my siggy, I don't bring up couples in a non yaoi section. But, I'm not everyone, so why can't we just all get along? cry

Look, everyone likes different things. Like everyone else has said, if you don't like something, don't read about it, and if you accidentally catch a bit of it, just click on something else.

I also wanted to address something you said about certain characters being gay or whatnot. Just because a guy isn't all flowery and kind doesn't mean he's not gay. In fact, many secretly gay people attempt to conceal their tendencies under a show of macho-ness/toughness. It's called a defense mechanism. Just wanted to slip that in there.
