zim was my favorite animated show, and is still one of my favorites. i know that it got taken off for violence and all,but im just one of those sad nerds who thinks they could of mabye, oh i dont know...JUST MADE IT LESS VIOLENT emo i mean, its got a big fanbase,and they could probally make a lot of money off of it, selly novelty items, gir pagamas 4laugh , things like that, but they didnt , comment if u agree wahmbulance wahmbulance wahmbulance its just so frustrating they took it of burning_eyes also i have been getting a couple comments saying that it was taken of for violence and nickelodeon got scared or whatever. i know that this is just expressing my opinion. i dont really care if i use common sense on a interactive online website

As an artist, would you rather take a pair of trimming shears to your beloved creation, or have it outright canceled but preserved in the minds of the fans? I don't think Invader Zim would have as many fans if it had been watered down.

I personally don't like Invader Zim. It did have its golden moments, but overall, I found it to be a very unappealing show. I do, however, understand that it has a lot of fans who lament its cancellation and regard the show as something amazing. What I'm getting at is that fans have the right to complain about things that happen to their favorite shows, but they need to know that these things happen for a reason.

Yes, but would fans still like Invader Zim if it was watered down? I guess that's a hard question to answer, since you don't know how the creators would handle it.

Don't get me wrong, I love the cartoon, but you have to admit, it really wasn't for young kids.

There were a number of reasons the programme was taken off. Jhonen, the shows creator, wasn't pleased that the network stifled his creative process. Same man who made Johnny the Homicidal Maniac- loads of violence and adult themes. That is the kinda stuff he usually put out. Clearly he couldn't do this on a children's show. And to remove or edit out anything? I can't imagine Jhonen would ever want the show to be less violent than it was. He seemed to value it just the way it was and wouldn't have it any other way.

And Nickelodeon was nervous about all that anyway. The show was indeed violent and had some disturbing stuff in it. They undoubtedly got complaints.

Yup yup,there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said.
Good show,but just a wee bit on the disturbing side.I'm just surprised that Nick decided to air it at all.

It's sad,huh?I heard that they aired all the episodes in the UK. stare Damn Brits...we had it first....*pout*

But on topic, I was pissed when it was canceled, but I was not surprised. That show was way too graphic for young children. As stated before, It did have it's OK moments, but altogether, not something Nickelodeon should show without getting sued.
