Well, the movie is apparently in post-production, and with a 2010 release, we'll find out...

Ah, but that spoils the fun, doesn't it? *maniacal laughter resonates* We know that it's for the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender", known elsewhere as "Avatar: The Legend of Aang".

If I put Avatar in the first message ,that might confuse some people, as there's a movie called Avatar that has abso-smurfly nothing to do with Mike and Bryan's animated series.

Tee-hee. Abso-smurfly. I am easily amused. blaugh

Smurfy-cats aside, I occasionally lurked in the last thread, and was disappointed to find it gone one day. Hooray for the new thread! May it live for 10,000 pages!

So Rufftoon's excited about Live Action!Zhao, eh? There may be hope yet for this movie. Not that I thought it was going to be awful. I knew from the get-go it would not live up to the series, but I didn't automatically dismiss it, either. Also, that is completely in character for Rufftoon.

Speaking of the blue smurfy-cats, has anyone seen the Bum Review for James Cameron's Avatar? He makes a reference to the show we all know and love that just made my day when I saw it. The rest of the review is pretty darn funny, as well. Blue smurfy-cats ahoy!

A kick-butt trailer would be nice. Knowing a bit more about the plot sequence for the first movie would be nice, too.

Heh. I'll have to check out that "smurfy cats" thing.

Ha. Just watched it. I loved how in the beginning he started talking aabout "our" Avatar befiore he went into the James Cameron thing (which actually sounds pretty funny, the way he talks about it).
