Why are Twilight Sparkle and Rarity generally disliked, or not as favorable as the other four?

I would guess it's their personalities. Most people think that Twilight Sparkle is too generic to be interesting. For Rarity, it would probably be her prissy attitude that keeps viewers from relating to her. I love the mane6 equally, but I believe these are reasons why Twilight and Rarity are underappreciated. sad

I couldn't agree with you more. Out of all of the main 6, Rainbow Dash has the worst personality, in my opinion. I mean.. I still like her, but she really IS all of those things you say.

And since we're on this subject, I might as well go ahead and say that though Fluttershy used to be my favorite pony, she's almost gone down to Rainbow Dash's level in my opinion. Even though she's usually sweet and cute, in a lot of episodes lately, she's been a real b***h. And granted she usually feels bad about it afterward and learns her lesson, that doesn't excuse her behavior. And yet, everyone ALWAYS loves Fluttershy and practically worships the ground she walks on and heaven forbid you dislike anything about her and the same goes for Rainbow Dash. Meanwhile, everyone finds it necessary to bash Rarity, Apple Jack, and Twilight Sparkle and act like they're such horrible bitches when she and Rainbow Dash both have been just a much of a b***h, if not more, as they have.
